Real Ghosts…They appeared to family members to say goodby…

How driving a ghost tour bus led to my encountering real ghost stories told by their loved ones…

About 10 years ago, I was a tour guide and part of my job was to drive a ghost tour bus at night. It was fun because the storytellers were well trained and people had come to have a great time…and it was all about hearing ghost stories from the town’s long history as reported by residents over generations.

As part of my job, I would transport people to and from their hotels before and after the tour…And I would end up talking to people and I found out that people wanted more stories….

When we were waiting one time on the tour bus for the storyteller to arrive (she was late and I didn’t want people to become impatient), I asked the people on the bus if they had any good ghost stories and everyone was silent for a painfully long minute but then this nicely dressed woman of middle age said: (paraphrased from memory) My daughter’s ghost appeared to me after she died. She had been in a very bad car accident and the funeral home would not let me see her body because of her severe injuries. I was devastated already but this really hurt because I wouldn’t be able to see my daughter ever again. I don’t remember much of the funeral other than watching the…
